Andrew Ashton is the award winning megatron behind Work Art Life, an internationally recognised creative director, educator, and leader within the Graphic Design field. Andrew is fascinated with how a creative outlook plays a vital role in life – a great meal, a hit song, an inspired building, to a business card that’s a conversation – spirits him to tease out, dream up and inspire the pursuit of great ideas.
Inspiring a diversity of people and clients to think and act with creativity makes us tick.
Behind every great idea, experience and brand is a mindset and culture that value creative thinking. Our practice explores and encourages everyone; from client to designer, to make creative thinking part of their problem-solving kit.
Our collaborations start with exploring the task – discovering the product, audiences and opportunities. Together we work out ways to make and form connections with outcomes created and designed to inspire, be desired, sell out, and sometimes stolen. Our practice operates with simple processes, personal service and sharing knowledge.
For over 30 years we have worked with people and organisations large, small, powerful and influential across a range of creative media – from brands, writing, digital, events, art direction, packaging, product development, signing, artworks to customer mapping.
Since 1989 his internationally recognised creative practice has inspired a generation of clients, collaborators and people to exploit creativity to conquer markets, spirit change and inspire possibility. At 34 years, Andrew was made one of the youngest members of the prestigious Alliance Graphique Internationale. Andrew’s practice has attracted numerous awards, jury panels and friends from all around the world. Andrew’s creative legacy is borderless, sector-less and ever-surprising — initiating the first dedicated design market in Melbourne, branding multinational financial corporations, to local food, cultural and community icons.
Will support delivery, applying her business consulting, project management and HR experience, gained at home and abroad (UK, Asia) with major global businesses (NAB, PwC to name a few).
